Went to GC and road tested these again  there just no way. Two of the ones I played sounded OK. but nothing special for sure. My Son bought a B.C. Rich Warbeast while there though. While there also the guy at the shop said they are to have all the new prices on the Fenders next week in store.

Warbeast!! haha a pointier version of my old Warlock.
Hmm a cousin of mine has had mine for over a decade, wonder if i can still consider it mine, and ask for it back.

Overall, I tried a couple road worns, and I have to say they weren't terrible, but there were cheaper strats beside them that felt and sounded as good or better. Still not a fan. And I know I've said it before, but the fretboard wear is atrocious to my eye.

You and I were thinking alike on the Road Worn twelveB that fret board is outright nasty looking. And on the Warbest MY Son liked that thing I must admit it had a OK sound to it He was also eyeing a Gibby Flying V thought he was going to hit Dad up for it but he did not thank goodness cause I would have said no to that right now.

Don`t like `em...hard earned money for a new guitar that looks like it was dragged behind a pick up truck is not for me. Some may like that beat up look but I`d rather my guitar got its aged look by playing, not from a belt sander. That being said, I hear they sound great which is all that matters in the end.

I played them at GC. I wasn't impressed at all. My 12 year old son couldn't believe they were new guitars. I thought the American Standard was much better. Personally, I don't get the whole road worn, relic thing. I like my stuff to look new, not like it was left outside all winter. I know some guys like it, but it's just not for me.

I recently came across a Japanese company, Scoop Creation Works, that does pretty nice looking relics.

http://www.scoop-creation.com/scoopindex.htm

They rival any Custom Shop job. Ishibashi has a used one for sale.
