What's the best live David Gilmour album? I'm looking for some inspiration as I learn to play. Pulse?

Hi maller: yes, Pulse. But then I would say that: I was in the audience that night!

Only Floyd show I ever went to - very memorable.

Learning to Fly - that's a good one to learn to fly on...

Cheers - C

I'm a long way from being able to do it, but I love the live versions on Pulse of Time and Run Like Hell. Also, the song Sorrow is pretty good when done live. I had never heard it before, I think it's from Momentary Lapse of Reason. RIght now, those are the songs that are keeping me inspired.

You can find some much earlier (never released) recordings on some of the torrent sites as well (from the mid 70s). Also you can find some stuff you can stream free from wolfgangsvault.com (Check this out guys). As far as video you should check out Live from Pompei. There is also a live DVD of The Wall you can find on eBay or on torrent sites (unofficial unrelased versions)
I really like Delicate Sound of Thunder myself because I saw them on that tour.

I recently saw his last DVD release "Live in Gdansk" and it really blew me away. It's a must see in my opinion.

Gdansk is good? I wasn't sure how it would be with the orchestra. Does that take away from the guitar playing or enhance it?

Gdansk was better than I expected. There are some videos on youtube of it if you want to check it out.
