That is about the best compliment I could get. Of course mine isnt 100% Custom Shop, but it still KICKS $@!!!!!!

Yours is a Custom Shop - it just ain't Fender's Custom Shop.

Most people here are very polite, but actually nobody was kidding when they said you'd built yourself a very nice guitar. And now it's official!

Congrats - C

Hey bigjay, nice job I bet your guitar is a killer axe, I also put together a partsocaster that I love so much its perfect because I put it together as I had it in my mind.. so I know the feeling hehe
I used a highway One strat neck too they are on my opinion the best necks because of the jumbo frets hehe anyway your BigJay CS Kickassocaster looks awesome...

Maybe I let my kids drag it around behind their bikes.

Hehe - I read James Tyler saying they achieved the worn look on a certain customer order S-type of theirs by first setting the body on fire and then taking it outside and playing soccer with it on a gravel drive.

Please don't go that route with your nice new Custom Strat, BigJay!!

Cheers - C

I think I'll find me a cheapy, record some licks with my new Tascom midi interface. Then I'll do a little Jimi Hendrix lighter fluid renovation and play it again.

Could be a new trend for the next BigJay Kickassocaster!!!!!!!!

Excellent - the BigJay Product Testing Lab!

I think you're going to find a long list of requests for tryouts of things like pickups, tonewoods and such to separate reality from the urban myths. A service to humanity!

There was another thread recently where folks were wondering about the tonal implications of fitting an ebony pickguard! One for the BigJay Tone Lab...!

In line with my quest for knowledge of the tonal implications of seemingly minute variances between components, I must ask the question....

Oh, man, just think about the tonal implications of seemingly minute turns of the Midrange Knob on your amplifier!

Be careful what you ask for, Ceri. If we do this, we will likely conclude many, if not all, of the subjects on these boards. What will everybody argue about?

Hehehe! I don't think it's really a worry, though. People are even arguing about whether the moon landings actually took place or not. "Evidence" will never get in the way of a good row...!
