Post subject: My new Strat sound!

I just replaced the stock pickups in my '98 MIM strat with some Texas Specials that I bought from a guy on the local Craigs list. Great price in an unopened box.

Anyway, I also had found one of the pots ohmed very low, so I replaced all three with new CTS pots and rewired the hole thing. The schematic that came with the pickups was pretty much the same as an MIA strat as far as the tone pots go. I never noticed that Fender wired the MIM and MIA different. I wired it as the schematic showed and reset everything up.

Oh man what a difference! :D I cant put it down! It sounds absolutely fabulous!

just wanted to share.... :)

Texas Specials are amazing, some of the coolest sounding pickups you can get for a strat.
