Stevie Ray was always one of my favorites. He was a great musician. It's a shame he died just when he was coming into his own as a song writer. He was more of a compilation of Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Albert King etc. His playing and song writing was amazing after he cleaned up. It's just a shame.

I think about Stevie Ray all the time, NO, not in that way but in a way that is platonic. 8)

i've had stevie ray's double cd set in the cd player of my car for the last year and can't get bored of it every time i hear it... couple things though...someone said that stevie played voodoo chile and little wing better then hendrix...while i agree..please acknowledge that he had the mold to reform where as hendrix came up with it from scratch...they're both masterpieces...and don't sell out on hendrix cause stevie covered his songs better...also someone else said it way back that there will never be another....there will be...when someone finally practices enough and has the soul he did, we'll all be blown away..cause thats how he did it...remember when people called clapton god? they never new stevie ray was around the corner....but until that day comes...imo i think he's the best and no one can touch him... 8)

He was truely a monster player. I once heard some say that Stevie Ray said that somehow his spirit was connected to Hendrixs' after death spirit... I can believe that!
