Sounds like a good idea. Crazy Glue is great stuff and dissolves with acetone. Just don't get it on your finish.

I had an issue with my G string until a few weeks ago. I couldn't find anything wrong with the nut, oiled the places that needs to be oiled, graphite on the nut, the whole nine yards. I did replace my Fender/Ping tuners with Fender/Schaller locking tuners. I must say I am not tuning nearly as often as I used to. If you haven't fixed your issue yet, and can safely dismiss the nut or saddles being the problem, I recommend the locking tuners.

Thank you for the advice! Today I took my guitar to the nearest music store and guess what ... no nuts on stock, only per order (delivery time btw 14 and 60 days)! Ok, so I asked the shopman for a nut file and his answer was: "Such a thing doesn't exist! Do you have a nail file at home..?" The problem is, that there seems to be no way to get a new nut before Saturday, but I necessarily need it till then.
I can´t go on with this worn-out nut...

How could he not have slot files or mikarta blanks there what 2.75 each or slip stones 4.50 you just keep them laying around. I don't know what kind of tech that was.

I just checked the nut on my Strat, and I didn't notice anything like an upside down T in it or anything out of the ordinary. I think I'm going to have my guitar tech look at it. He should know what it is in a few seconds, he's good.
