Good wishes to you, Hop - C

Hi oczad: I named and shamed that seller on page three of this Tolstoy-esque thread. I doubt he's in your part of the world but just in case, this is him:

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/kevlandau?&ss ... TQ:GB:1181

Mind you, if you have bought from the same guy I'd be deeply fascinated to hear about it, as you can imagine!

Good luck - C

Nope, not him. I was hoping it was so we could file a complaint together and make it a little harder for payplal to ignore because i know they will likely blow me off. The guy never responded to my email so it looks like i will have to file.

Ceri your seller currently has no items for sale.
I'm thinking if he ever sells a guitar to go view it, abscond and threaten to post it back to him one shaving at a time unless you get a full written apoplogy and a 50% refund.

Calling FHopkins: Hop, I have a distinct sensation that a few posts back we got at crossed purposes. You seemed to feel you were being given arch and insulting hints.

I absolutely assure you that was not the intention: I hope I wouldn't be that way with anyone here, and most definitely not with you. You are well aware that you are regarded as one of the good guys round here - you've known me long enough to know I very much share that view!

Posting is an imprecise art and we sometimes convey a tone we didn't mean. If I have given a bad impression I have misspoken myself and I apologise for it unreservedly.

As a sign of good intent, here is a photo of the cat Charlie watching the Tele:

Cheers to you - C

Ceri, nice photo. I like the light, natural background with the black accents. Oh, and the Tele is nice too!

It's the Korean Lite Ash Tele. I was walking past and saw it in a shop window. As mentioned elsewhere, it is in fact a three piece body, but the joins are hard to see front and back and the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Went in and played it and it felt very good (not a MIA - but great for the money). Sounds excellent, too.

At that price there was no need even to think about it. No case: hauled it over to the wife's office under my arm. She smiled and ran out to buy some more shoes...

 - C

BTW: regarding the other bit, if there's ever any doubt again just remember, Ceri don't come here to diss people - especially the nicest guys!

I was going to ask about the Tele, but I don't want to hijack the thread, well...maybe it's not considered a hijack, because the pic of the Lite Ash Tele is here :?:

I've played several of these and found them rather heavy (weightwise). Is this the case with that one of yours, Ceri?

I realize the "lite" is the finish/grain, not the weight.

-Mike [who favors lightweight guitars...even more every day...and after a long gig]

Hi Mike: I've hijacked enough threads round here - I could hardly object now! Anyway, I love digressions...

I don't know which aspect Fender are refering to with the "Lite", but as it happens this one is very light indeed. An ounce or two over seven pounds. That would be good for a Strat; it's amazing on a Tele!

As a man in his mid-forties with the lower spine of an 85 year old I very much know what you are talking about, weightwise!

Incidentally, I was chatting to the tech in a shop recently and he turned out to favor vintage tuners over modern simply because of the weight difference. Now that's a fella with a very bad back indeed!

Cheers - C
