Snowy, it's very nice to see you around. I hope things are going all right for you.

BTW: I'm checking Springsteen's website most days. So far no extra UK dates added to the tour, but as of a couple of days ago I was still finding tickets available for the Hyde Park gig at ticket agencies. If you could make it, you'd see a great show I'm sure...

Cheers - C

Thanks Ceri,
Things are getting better by the day mate, working hard with the physio most days. I'm hearing rumours of a show at Hampden Park, I'm gonna sit tight for a bit and see how that pans out. I have a fairly good connection in London if I need tickets for Hyde park, a bit closer to the date that is. I would love to see the show, the taster at the Super Bowl has put me right in the mood.

BTW: Doc, I think we're already enjoying a fair degree of tollerance from Fender over threads like this. I'm not sure we want to be shoving my miniature efforts in the Custom Shop's face - but thank you for the compliment!

You know enough about my background to understand the insight I have as to how you've brought your knowledge base to bear, as well as your art, into the matter of problem solving the rehabilitation of this mongrel guitar body. Individuals of like mind and ability enjoy and profit from these kinds of exchanges, much as what transpires in the threads of this forum. Bringing this project to the attention of the Custom Shop luthiers should not suggest that what you have done is not worth their attention, appreciation, nor that they might not even learn something from you.

Case in point....Three weeks ago my 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier underwent major surgery for the removal of bladder stones. The team which worked him up was having difficulty adequately visualizing his bladder and prostate for a specific diagnostic purpose even though they had employed two different modalities for imaging. In conference with his veterinary surgeon I made a recommendation to use another radiographic study technique which had not occurred to her to employ and proved to be just the ticket to ride. In my 35 years of practice, all that I have accumulated came to bear to help this marvelous little creature, and supplement the knowledge base of a very competent young surgeon.

Do believe that the 'boys in the band' stand to gain something from us. 8)

Carry on

Doc

Well then Snowy, you have at least two "fairly good connections" in London. Don't think I have any special sources ticketwise, but if you have time to kill in my town I'd be most delighted to dig up fun things to share with you. Bear it in mind...

Doc, it's a great story and we all wish your terrier well. That dog is in better hands than he will ever know!

I do have a pretty strong belief that you have rather a lot more to offer a fellow medical practitioner (in any field) than a humble bumbler like me has to show the superb builders of the Custom Shop.

Of course, if they want to look in they're most welcome. But we'll expect them to show pictures of some of their work-in-progress in return! :D

Cheers - C

All the best to the Yorkie Doc.

Now customshop saving a trash body. It wouldnt happen, would it? The cost of paying time to put it right would far outweigh the cost of a new slab.

Still the idea's nice. I wonder if they use a sewing machine converted into a motorized spraying/drying machine?

Still the idea's nice.

What were' talking about here ARE 'ideas' here, and that we have a
'thinking' person behind it all. Remember that imagination is a factor in many of the things that they do, and the route to realizing the final outcome is often in the mind of their creative forces which Ceri, in this thread, had demonstrated his command of.

Thanks for all your good wishes with respect to my dog. He's back in fine fettle.

Doc

Wow, Ceri and Snowy in their Forum tee shirts with The Boss in Hyde Park - that would win the Photo Contest hands down!

Ceri,

I have been watching this post from the beginning. I love what you have done so far. You are very talented with the way you fixed the spots that were not done right. Love the color, can't wait to see the finished product. RK
