I think the super strats such as the Heavy metal Fender Strats and other models had 24 necks they were made in the late 80's and early 90's if I am not mistaken.... :)

Fender just recently discontunued the"Showmaster" which was another attempt at the heavy metal shredder market... It has a set neck...flame maple top... 24 frets... and 2 humbuckers. It is shaped like a Strat very similar to the American Deluxe FMT.

You can find it occasionally on EBAY. It was produced from 1998 to 2009. The earliast models had Stratocaster on the Neck instead of Showmaster and they are somewhat collectible because of that. I believe they were made in Korea...

Are you the same guy who wanted to "discontune" the Telecaster?
