I have a Squier strat serial number CAE0050511279.
Where was this made and what type of strat is it?

It's hard to know that information I dont know if theres some database of squier guitars like there is for fender guitars... but the place of manufacturing should be somewhere in the neck of the guitar....

That Squier was made in China (not Taiwan) by the AXL company.
