Hi, I could use a little help. I'm getting an 08 American Strat for a present soon and need help deciding on an amp for it. My budget for the amp is about $350. It would be for bedroom use so I don't need it to be very loud I'm just concerned about the sound quality. Heres some bands I listen to (Not in any particular order) so you can help me decide what would be best for my taste in my price range:

jimi hendrix
led zeppelin
metallica
pantera
nirvana
foo fighters
weezer
radiohead
audioslave
ozzy
disturbed

Thanks!

Vox is coming out with an all tube bedroom amp soon. The model number is the AC4TV. It may be perfect for you.

Also, check out the Traynor YCV20

These are fun pedals to have so I would try a Ibanez TS9 and MXR Phase 90 to start you will like them.

Sweetwater is taking orders for these now. I am wait to hear these are in. This is one that I think I will have to get . You can also set it for a 1/4 watt , 1 watt, 4 watt. It is going to be avail. as a combo and a head, the combo is supposed to have a 10' speaker. 12AX7 pre amp and a EL84 power tube.

Hello my friend,

I would also recommend you to listen the Super Champ XD ,too. There are millions of videos of it in youtube. A very good all around amp for the money you pay. You can gig with it , too. I have it and i'm 100% happy with it. Congrats on the new strat and welcome.

I use a marshall avt20 for bedroom volumes, it is good and it has a tube preamp which gives it a nice warmth you might like it :)

I'd go with the Blues Junior ... its an amp you'll keep for a long time ... besides you'd be buying pedals anyway ...
