A change to 10's will need a setup. I have a roadhouse that came with 9's. I had it set up with that in mind. Played fine but the 9's were too light for me after playing them a while. I put 10's on it as an experiment and the increased tension knocked everything out of wack. Wouldn't stay in tune, tremelo of course was too high, action was up. I had it set up with 10's, D'Addario, by my favorite guitar tech and it practically plays itself now!!! GET A GOOD SETUP if you change gauge.
