When I got my American STD Strat it had Fender Bullets on there and I had never played them so gave them a whirl. I decided to change them yesterday back to Super Slinkys and I wish I had not.

They seem really 'greasy' and every time I try to bend a sting I get no grip and my finger slides. Another problem I have noticed since changing to a genuine Strat is that when I bend 8/10 time I catch another string and it sounds terrible....

Anyone else have these problems and maybe a solution?

Bullets are a acquired taste i think its down to the nickel content of the strings. Their certainly my pick but i suggest diaddario also. They seem to be a bit of a middleground for me.

I didn't mind the bullets but since changing to the slinkys it has been a nightmare. I can even get a 1/4 step bend in without my fingers slipping off!

I use Super Bullet 3259L's on my Fender and D'Addario EXL 120's on my other guitar. Both are Nickle wound .009-.048's. It just works for them and me.

I used Super Slinkys at one point, but then switched away from them--when I tried them again later--I couldn't get rid of them quickly enough.
