found a better idea.. http://www.precisionmusictech.com/xbat.htm

external power supply!!

Gotta say, this one is completely new to me. Much less hassle than any method of bringing current in through the jack socket that I've come across before.

If you go for that, Blackie08, I'll be most interested to hear how it works out for you. I wonder if you'll have the issues Nikininja is foreseeing?

(You can talk to us as much as you like about that red guitar, BTW, Niki. 'Specially with piccies...)

Well, only if you are going to claim that your Custom Shop Strat is better in some way than a Mexican Standard...

BTW: is that quilt top Suhr yours? I'm sure I recall that you've owned one: if that's it - nice. Can you tell how thick the maple cap is?

i will let you guys know how it works out. wiring it will not be a problem at all. there is a battery jumper that connects to where the real 9 volts would be, you don't have to rewire anything. then you run the stereo cord from your guitar into the X-BAT 9 battery box and then the mono cable thats attached to it into your effects and amp. it couldn't be any easier. and it makes changing the battery easy as hell.
