If you are willing to go that deep to restructure the guitar, then you might as well customize the body to fit you properly. Big gut, eh???? KIdding.

However, as an economist, I must suggest that you can buy factory contoured bodies. Also, there are many varieties of strat necks available and they are generally interoperable. The AmDlx Contour Heel is out there already and many bodies are slimmed or whatever. So, I have to ask if it makes sense to distort this body/neck when you can custom build to your specifications using factory issue. At a minimum, you reduce the risk of screwing up a very nice guitar.

graphtech string saver chrome saddles, locking tuners, and good pickups. Block the trem if you don't use it. And as far as pickups.... well that's just an abyss of options. I really don't think it needs anything else. Unless you want to get into special wiring.

What about building your own body? Its not easy work but is very rewarding. Possibly the ultimate mod, it puts everything under your control. Neck pitch, cutouts, contours, heel, controls all exactly where and how you want em.
