Hi, my name is Daniel!

I have a question about the wiring of my Fender Elite Stratocaster:
next to the "dummy coil" there is a screw with a wire soldered on.
But the other end of this thin wire is not connected (and apparently never was) with one of the other parts and just lies beneath the other wires.
What also confuses me is, that the wire is gold, not silver like all the others.

can somebody tell me, what´s the use of it?
