What do Henries measure? What does the DC resistance exactly measure? How do these affect sound/tone? I'm really not famillar with electric guitars, and want to know.

Check this site out
http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/inductor2.htm

As of sound it depends on the magnet and # of winding in the pickup. The more resistance mean more windings and increase output of the pickup. The magnet on other hand also I determines the output too. I like Alinco 2 magnets in humbuckers because of the low output and full range of tone. Checkout Seymour Duncan site. They have a tone chart that shows the way pickups relate to bass mids and treble to show you the differents in magnets and DC resistance in relationship with tone. I hope this doesn't confuse you too much. This is only theory~!!!! :D

An inductor is a low pass filter; it lets the low frequencies through, but blocks the high frequencies.

Inductors are the opposite of capacitors in that regard.
