It's a fact that The Shadows made it all over the world in the 60's BUT in the USA.

They are to celebrate their 50th Anniversary (of the Band) end of this year by a Tour together with Cliff Richard.

World's full of artists who break in some places and not in others.

Johnny Hallyday, anyone? Thomas Blug?

Cheers - C

Cm'on ,Johnny Halliday is the most worshipped French (but of Belgian origin )Artist.
He sold (and still sell ) hundreds of thousands CDs.He is the French Rock 'n Roll Icon

His career started 40 years ago and he can still fill stadiums of more than 80 000 seats.
He had a Fender Sig Telecaster ordered by Fender Europe, but which did not sell so much as it was meant to be a Limited Edition, but it wasn't..

Halliday was also the guy that asked for THe Hendrix Experience to join him and the Walker Brothers farewell tour, the first tour package the experience was part of!!!!!!

Hmmm. No one as has come back on Thomas Blug. A very fine German guitarist who Fender named "Strat King" a year or two back. In response he wrote a number called Strat King that he does as a demo piece: well worth finding a version of it on YouTube if you want to discover a good Strat player you didn't know of before...

I wonder if Fender Europe has done a Sig of his famous "dirty" white Strat yet...?

Cheers - C
