Yeah....I'm crazy!!! Crazy about those Highway 1 Stratocaster HSS's!!!

I gotta be honest.....the guitars themselves are well built and are reallly good pieces of resonant wood; but the stock pickups SUCKED!!!

I changed them all and now they are AWESOME axes!!
I've sold a lot of guitars over the years, but these I'll go homeless on the subway with before I sell them!!!

The only one I'm missing is the DAPHNE BLUE one; which I hear Fender discontinued! :?

The pickup breakdown: L to R:

1: Gibson 57 Classic Plus, Fender Vintage Noiseless
2: Gibson 490T, Fender Vintage Noiseless
3: DiMarzio 30th Anniv. P.A.F. , DiMarzio Area 58's
4: DiMarzio Virtual P.A.F. , DiMarzio Area 58's
5: Gibson 498T, Fender Vintage Noiseless

These really are GREAT guitars to modify and make your own PERFECT axe!! :D

Hey! I've seen those before (hard to forget that family line up)!

No recent additions? :(

I've got one like the middle one, but it's still stock.

I'm real glad to hear that you are still fanatical about them.

Cheers

Nice guitars. I came close to getting the HSS Highway 1 but the HWY 1 I currently own felt and played better. If I want to mod it later I will have known that the stock humbucker would have been changed out soon enough anyways. Right now I am satisified with what I have already, although GAS is starting to get to me. :)

Yeah! Highway 1's rule! Got mine last year, and love every bit of it.
I agree on the stock pups, though. Replaced them with Duncan SSl-1's and SSL-5, and now it really does it for me. The thing that sold me on the HWY1 is the neck - the jumbo frets really are something else for bending.
I also like the finish. Hey, your pix are fantastic, love the "family"!

Now that is a nice collection. It's cool how all of the solid colors seem to fit on the sunburst.
