Your choice!!

sorry pal they are custom shop designed.
call fender .
Well, I hope Ed doesn't get mad, but I e-mailed fender customer relations and asked them, and the reply was: the Highway one pickups are not considered to be custom shop."

That is why I posted the Fender specifications, because as he said he deals only in the facts. I just don't understand the anger! Oh well. I should not even be posting this. Peace!! :)

Hey Fellow Stratheads-

Fhopkins- I only knew the Hwy One pickups were "upgraded" They sound alright just not my cup of tea...Not your typical strat sound. The "Grease Bucket" Pots are kinda nice - thinking I may want some of that on my next Strat.

and i have talked to matt from fender and he told me that yes
the pickups were designed by the custom shop. now theres a differnce
of being designed and being made by the custom shop. the pu's were
disigned by the custom shop but made someweres else. that is stated
in the vidio released by fender to youtube.

Hi alwaysstrat, good afternoon to you.

Why don't you have a shout at me for a change? Get off FHopkins' case for a while? Or are you going to calm down a bit now you've got to a hundred posts, which I presume was what that little multiple post was for?

Cheers - C

Thanks Ceri but no problems my friend!

Hi alwaysstrat: it surprises me to hear that Fender have released a video to YouTube because they normally post that type of material here on their own website. I'd be very interested to see it - but I can't find it. Probably that's because I am a fool and a sad moron, as you said to FHopkins:

I'm not a brain surgeon either, but still I can't find it. Perhaps you could just post a link to this video so's we can see what Fender have to say about their Highway One pickups, please?

Thank you.

Cheers - C

No, it's odd isn't it? I'm ready to play but I keep getting the cold shoulder.

Shucks, I'm feeling all left out...

Bedtime shortly, my part of the planet. I'll be logging off: you're welcome to call me names if you like while I'm not here, alwaysstrat.

'Night, fellas - C

You guys are having WAY too much fun.

I found this video about Hwy1 upgrades at You Tube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqSYDHNpAx8
It appears to be Fender produced.
