I just got a new mim strat and want to put lace pickups on it. I want to put one of the prewired pickguards so i don't have to mess with so much soldering. I am looking at three, one with three gold lace pickups, one with red, silver and blue, and another one with emerald, silver and purple.
I want it to sound like strat not like a humbucker, but i don't want it to be twangy. I have played a strat plus and really liked it, they were gold but I am not shore if they are the same.
