I solved my problem. I'm using talc for my hands. In the Crossroads DVD I saw Jeff Beck use talc, and I've got to admit it works. The neck feels smooth because there is no moisture in my hand.

I use a spray string cleaner ... soft rag and clean the strings then wipe the back of the neck. Eventually, it gets pretty slick for me. I will also use Dunlop wax on the neck too when i polish the body.

Paul Gilbert uses WD-40. In one of his terrifying videos, I don't remember which one. There is a big can setting on top of his amp.
Like fast fret but a lot cheaper and it is a cleaner anyway.

Just another thought.

I removed the finish off the neck of my 61ri the use dutch oil on the neck. It has the feel of bare wood. Very smooth
