Help

I'm New to the fender world really (I have a basic knowledge of fenders),
But nobody at my local guitar store can help me out with this one question, and it's a fairly important one seeing as I'd like to lake it my first fender guitar,so here it is:
Does the Stevie Ray Vaughan Strat come with matching tremolo handle (:or flight rose as some may call it)?

Matching tremolo handle??? :?

You must mean if the tremolo arm is gold too, right?

Have no fear, the arm is also gold.

Sweetness your a life saver :p
Thanx a lot.
So do you play that particular guitar or now anything about it?
Cause I need a bit of convincing.
I mean I love Fender and All but at heart I'm still A Gibson Freak and I'm still kinda unsure if I wanna go for the SRV or the Gibson ES-335 Dot cherry.

Nah, I don't own the SRV model, wish I did though. I'm just a big SRV fan.

If your looking for a guitar to nail blues, you can't go wrong with the SRV strat. You shouldn't turn away from the 335 either, it has its place.

The good news is, if your a gibson freak, then switching over to that SRV strat should be like a walk in the park, the neck will feel pretty familiar, it's kinda chunky with big frets. Not as big as they should be though, in my opinion. Of course, body differences in these guitars is something that might be tough to get use to. Going from one body style to the other is kinda ackward, for me it is anyway.

You should just go and play both of these and see which one you like better. What type of music are you into most of the time? That will play the biggest role.

This is also my opinion, but a strat can come closer to sounding like a gibson(les paul, 335 or whatever), than a Gibson can at trying to sound like a strat.

Hope I helped you out some.

Like the guy above said, try both and see which one feels and sounds better to you. But i do own the SRV strat and ill tell you what, that thing really rips hard!! I absolutely love it!...Then again , the only thing i own is strats lol, so good luck to you, but i highly reccomend the SRV strat..The left handed tremolo arm is absolutely wonderful to use, feels so much more natural than the right handed ones

Yeah the Left-handed Tremolo looked is one of the main reasons I want this guitar!:p
I don't get the same feeling from a right handed one as I do from a Lefty (some guy made me try it out on his customised Jackson, not an all together bad idea)
But if what your tellin me is true it would semm to be the wisest decision to go for the SRV strat first.
Seeing as I'm in dire need of a slimmer neck :p (see I play with an Sg)
I'm starting to get some great blues solos going but I just can't reach my Low E snare :(, and that's why I thought it was the idealistic guitar for me.
And as far as genres that I play goes: Blues,Blues/Rock, Rock,AlternRock,Grunge And My personal favorite:Desert Rock!!!
And a lot of people told me to either go for an american vintage '52 tele (which sounds damn good), or the buddy guy strat (great squeelie sound)
And then the SRV (Wayne's World quote:) But I'm not worthy!!!! :p

Honestly, i would definatly go with the SRV Strat...Everything about it is great...Pick ups are outstanding, neck is amazing...Its just great...And yes it does do blues the best...you can still get killer rock tones out of it..And you really can make a strat sound more like a gibson than you could a gibson sound like a strat...All in all, def. go for the SRV Strat...Actually the only thing i changed on it was the pickguard..I put a solid black one on instead of the stock oen with the white SRV on it...only because..well im not SRV so i figure, why should my guitar say it...The signature on the headstock is enough :)...But another option to look into if you maybe want some different colors or what have you is the American Vintage 62' strat (At least i think thats the year on it) also a fine guitar, has a nitro finish!! And i dont believe the SRV has nitro. Anyways ill stop yaking now, hope this helped!

Hey yak away all you want it's good to hear these things :p
Thanx for the advice, As far as the pickgard I think I'm gonna by a white one and get a SRV etching of him on it.
I know this great artist that does these things :p
But as far as All other fenders I like the natural sunberst look of'em(at least that's what gibson calls that finish):p
