hey everyone!

I'm going to be getting some new pick ups for my 2006 MIM Std Strat and I know I want a humbucker in the bridge position. Is it possible to put a humbucker in the neck w/o routing the body?

I looked under my pick guard but the neck pick up position didn't look like it could fit a humbucker, depsite what the tech at the music store I went to said.

I've been searching for an answer but haven't found one. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If it doesn't look like it would fit, then it probably won't.

If you can post a pic it would help us.

Hey Mike,

Why not go for a SC size 'Bucker? I have never wanted to myself, but I know from reading threads here that such things exist. This would surely solve any issue with routing and also retains your Strat's good looks!

Cheers,
E

+1, I've heard very good things about the Seymour Duncan Hot and Cool Rails along with many others

You can also grab a drill with a mini sander top and make the single coil hole a little wider.. thats what I did to one of my strat bodies and it was really easy to do... :)
