I have been in the market for another Strat for a while. This is Strat number three for me. I was looking into JM sigs, Hot Rod 62's. After much traveling and playing I decided that Standard American Strat necks fit my hands better. I purchased a 2008 and love it. Quite a few little changes from my 2006. I love my other American and I didn't want to be less than super happy with a guitar because of a too large of neck for myself. I did however stay with the same color I wanted from the start. Olympic white, rosewood fingerboard, added a mint pickguard, added a few springs in the trem cavity. Anyways on with the pictures...

If it sounds and plays as good as it looks, that's one great guitar. :D

I thought about going mint green on my sunburst 2008 but in the end I stuck with the stock parchment. Its light cream colour seemed to fit well. Some of the brilliant white guards you see are just bloody terrible.

Very nice!
I find it interesting that the USA Standard is looking more and more like a reissue, with the vintage-style bridge and old style Fender logo. I like it personally and shows that Fender aren't afraid at looking backwards in going forwards!

Cheers,
E
