My '04 Highway One Strat has a 3 spring tremelo, will adding 2 more springs help with the tuning or cause any other problems?

i don't know about helping the tuning, the point of the springs is to hold the tremolo where it should be, if you add springs its just gonna add more tension and pull the tremolo towards the body instead of letting it float so you would have to reset the tremolo...I added more springs when i went up to heavier strings because i like the tremolo flush with the body and the heaviers strings pull the tremolo up from the body. Maybe adjusting the screws under where the springs are would serve better.

Hey there, If you like how your tremolo is now don't mess with it. If you want to lock down your tremolo to the body (meaning that you can only bend notes lower) add one or more springs. Personally I added one more because I don't like it floating. I'd rather have them hard tail to be honest.
