Thanks for the encouragement. When my fingers do what I want them to do, I may have an easier time in finding my main Strat.

Nice to know there are others in their forties or fifties (I am in my fifties) either looking to get a Strat or already playing one.

Didn't mention that my 50's guitars included a Kay 161 (Jimmy Reed special), a Harmony H-63, and a beat up used Telecaster. A new strat at that time cost about $150 at the local guitar shop owned by Jazz Guitarist Skeets McWilliams, but $150 might as well be $100,000 to most teenagers in those days.

Looking around at some local vintage guitar stores, I owned a gold mine in today's prices. Oh well, hind sight.
