Greetings,

I have 7 guitars: 3 strats, a Fender Champ Steel (1957), Gibson ES 175, Ovation acoustic/electric, and Orlando classical. I'm just an amateur guitarist but I've been playing for almost 40 years. I work in health care and teach at the university level.

thanks,

S

i know the feeling, i have 2 Strats, Both MIM, but one is the 60th Aniversary Strat in Blizzard pearl with the Tex-Mex pup's and a maple neck. This guitar has truly changed my playing. It has become my #1 axe. It doesn't need any upgrades and with a set of Ernie Ball .10-.46 it just growls. I didn't think single coils could sound so hot.
I don't really ever play any of my humbucker equipped guitars any longer

Hi Sandy, and welcome to the forum.

Number one rule around here: We want to see pictures of your guitars! 8)

This guitar was given to me by my client, an aerospace company in LA, about 10 years ago. It's a '99 Squier Strat and all the project team members signed their names on it and presented it to me on the last day of a 2-year engagement. It's currently hanging on the wall in my office.

Okay, how to I upload a picture??

Okay, here we go again....

This guitar was given to me by my client, an aerospace company in LA, about 10 years ago. It's a '99 Squier Strat and all the project team members signed their names on it and presented it to me on the last day of a 2-year engagement. On the back, many of the math formulas I taught them appear (materials management). It's currently hanging on the wall in my office.

Here are several pictures of the guitar.

Yeah, they are plastic cockroaches. Long story. It's an inside joke.

nothing like a little y=mx+b linear graphing to start an evening off right! Nice guitar. That is an awesome way to remember a project.

I'm almost ashamed of myself. I own a total of 4 Strats, and going in the order of their acquisition: So Cal Speed Shop Strat; Standard Stratocaster (1996 SSS); FSR Straight Six Stratocaster; Standard Stratocaster (2008 SSS). The newest Strat is gonna be converted to HH/Double Fat, as soon as I get around to buying the humbuckers and different tone pots. If I include my Squier Bullet Special (an SSO - Strat Shaped Object), that brings the total to 5.

Now, I'm not ashamed that I own 4 Strats (out of a total collection of 21 guitars and basses). No...I'm more ashamed that I let my Strat collection outnumber my Tele collection, for being somebody that claims to like Teles more than Strats. I've got a partscaster Tele in the works, right now (P90s and Strat trem), and am planning to build a partscaster 12-string Telecaster Deluxe soon after. Somewhere along the line there will be another Strat joining my collection, in the form of a partscaster Jagcaster - Strat body, Jaguar tremolo, 3 Jaguar pickups and a 24" scale Jaguar neck.

Matt
