Yes, that is a very IMPORTANT link for anyone trying to figure out all of this Thick Skin/Thin Skin/Nitro/Polyurethane/Polyester stuff.

The trouble, as is pointed out, is that there is a LOT of misinformation and inaccuracies "out there" on the web AND in very popular books on Fender guitar history. So when people argue about these things on Forums such as this one, they are often basing their position on inaccuracies that have been spread by this book or that. Which is a grave disservice done by the authors of those books. Such inaccuracies are very hard to correct.

WOW,,,,,,,,,
Murder,Mystery,Cia,Grassy Knoll and Conspiracy....
all over paint hmmmmm???
Now why anyone want to mislead some sixstring knuckleheads on thier quest to understand Fender's painting techniques in the early days is beyond me,but stranger things have happend,,
I feel like a victim ,an innocent bystander
Is there any publications that you feel tell the true story of what happend in them days,,,with pictures that havent been doctored to protect the offspring of the workers in question
Im kinda inclined to point the finger at Phylis Fender,,she would maybe have reason to misconstrue the facts in order to protect the legacy of Leo,,,,,
just my offering,,,,,,,,,
