I have a 1994 Standard which I have owned since new, it has no sticker saying where it was made, no Mexico, no USA. I remember hearing that there was a fire at the Mexico plant, sometime around 1994, and that the guitars were actually built in the US plant. Does anyone have any information on this?

Sounds like another fender tale it might be real who knows

I have googled it and found there was a fire sometime that year, not many details on it. I wonder if the good people at Fender would give any information if I emailed them.
