For the record, a 0.050 is 50/1000 of an inch, not millimeters. .05 millimeters would be roughly half the size of a human hair

Ok. Thanks for the info. I never seen a 0.05 measurement in SAE before. Never worked on anything that small. I might have given the wrong measurement, sorry, but is 0.050" the right size for your saddle screw?

I had the same problem on my 2008 AmStnd. The screws on the high E string came faulty I guess, since the problem began about the 5th time i picked up the guitar.
I purchased some screws (12 units for around 4bucks) from 30th Street Guitars in NY, Turns out they don't fit, they are larger then the one's that come on the new strats.
I recommend you take one of the screws from your AmDlx to your local guitar shop in order to get exactly what you need... you don't want to waste 4bucks now do you!?
