Personaly i'd find the guitar unplayable. Not through any fault of the guitars, just a fault of mine. I'd be too busy balancing the seperate string volumes and tones to play a note.

Anyone remember the Z coils G&L used when they first came out. They would be great with seperate volumes for each side of the pickup. And it wouldnt be a hard mod either, they came fitted with a balance switch. Imagine being able to have the neck and middle pickups operating the treble strings and the bridge pickup bass strings, or visaversa.

Wow, that's quite the mod.

The guy should have thought a little longer about how to output the signals.

Six cords is a little extreme.

Yes, you would need 6 amps, but you would also need 6 distortion boxes, 6 delays, 6 wah wahs ?!????!!!!

It would be hard to work 6 wah wah pedals at the same time.

Good point, although it would be interesting to hook a wah pedal up to one of the strings and see how that sounds playing chords or something.

The builder designed it to hook up to his home surround sound system. I suppose one of the design points was that you could have a clean chorus'd B string coming in from the left and a driven A string coming in from the right, or any combination you could think of. To use it into a regular amp would be possible with a 6 into 1 box (like a reverse signal splitter) then add effects after that. You'd still be able to balance seperate string volumes too.
