Lets see how much has in changed in the last 50+ All though they make them in versions now that have different sounds by pickups and circut designs there will always be a original Strat type availiable.

Its become a classic .... I bet you'd still get some new pickup technology ... artist models ... maybe even an on board Multi EFX processor like the Roland strat ... but it will remain what it has always been .....a strat.

I think in the future probably a century away strats will not be made of wood anymore because we will not have more trees left lol, also I think that the whole analog thing will disapear and everything will be digital, just like money will be digitalized and put in our bodies as chips so we will be in a way 100% controlled  scary stuff

It depends on what types of music are popular then. There will probably be a Strat that fits that type of music, in addition to the classic Strat.

In 20 years, we'll hook up a cable from the USB ports on our skulls to our robotic guitars and play with our brains: direct brain control of the robotic guitar.

Your implanted chips will interact wirelessly with your holographic guitar interface!

I think Fender will produce an army of droids discuised as strats that are linked to an underground central command, with the push of a button will become alive and unleash a holocaust pre- a nuclear fallout- in which few humans will survive but will infact all be fender players... One will be the chosen one, in which the fate of the human race lies within his existence.. Bugger USB or Firewire- Im talking infrared missiles and "LASER BEAMS"
