I've heard these in an American De Luxe strat and they sound cool but having read a lot of reports, and done some research, Kinman are supposed to be one of the best but hey, it all depends on the sound you want. If you do too much research it drives you crazy and you'll never be satisfied because somebody, somewhere is always saying this is "best" or that is "best" - there's no such thing as "best" - just play the kind of pups that give YOU the sound YOU like and ignore the rest!!!

Last year I got a set and installed them in my 50th Anniversary Strat. Very nice tones and very quiet- a very good all around pickup.

In my opinion they have a very balanced tone. They're versatile pickups and they're quiet. The treble isn't quite as trebly as a traditional strat, but it's got enough sparkle and quack to satisfy my purposes.

That's a good description of them Blaqdog! I have them and the s-1 system on one of my strats and I like the different tones you can get out of this system of pickups! 8)

I have them in two of my strats.....both in the neck and middle.Though i have read mixed reviews about them, i'm beginning to like them for their ability to balanced with the DH-1 and the DiMarzio Tone Zone S in my strats....

So far so good...at this moment i'll rate them 6/10...as i'm "fairly" new to Strats too...

Yes, I mean Samarium Cobalt Noiseless. I just put em in and I like them so far. Real nice tone. very good crystaline highs, and full lower tones.
A lot better than the old (20 yrs old) active EMG's that were in it.
I have nothing against the EMG's, and they are real good if you are using a lot of effects, but I wanted to get back to the Strat sound.

Got em on my HSS Deluxe and I really like them. Lots of good sounds can be coaxed from them. 8) Mike

It took me some time to get used to them, but if you adjust the pickup heights you get a much better sound. I noticed that if you adjust them according to the suggested heights you get a tinny icy sound (Not so much if you use a noise suppressor though).

They are really quite and that can be a plus if you have fluorescent lights at home or live in an apartment building.

Overall I have come to respect these pickups.
Cheers
Hisham

Thanks for all the input guys.
I'm really liking them. Very quiet without deadening the sound.
Nice tones. Worth the money IMO.
