I've owned, and still own some '90's Strats with Lace Sensors.

The Gold Lace sensors have a quiet, sweet vintage sound, but just not enough oomph for the bridge position to suit me. I finally settled on a Strat Ultra with the Dual Red Lace in the bridge and the Gold Lace in the Neck position for when I'm in the "lace sensor" kind of playing mood.

The Silver Lace sounds good also, with a little more output than the Gold Lace. I think it was trying to give a more "Texas Special" sound, but it's not the same as them, but it has a good sound of it's own.
