I have 2, "Fat" and "Slim". One is a Maroon wood grained American Texas Fat Strat with Shallers, graphite bridge and shielded electronics (previous owner had a noisy amp with a bad transformer that fed hum into the guitar whenever it came within 3 feet of the amp ... he was told the shielding would help ... it didn't. ) The other is a Basic American Standard, just lean and mean, also Maroon. 1996 and 1994 respectively.

I also, have an original 1961 ES335TD Sunburst Gibson. I am the original owner, purchased in 1964. It is worth more than my cars so I call that one "Money".

And, I have a Parker Fly ... that I call "Fly" ... (or "Parker" :) ) , and an original Alvarez Dana with a full scoop neck that I call "Scoop". The Rickenbacker is "Rick".

The others are just by brand ... Tak(amini), Gib(son), Gretch, and so on. I have alway wanted a "Barney" ... Kessel that is, Gibson. Just haven't found one I could afford.

I have only three electrics and they are named "My Strat, my Tele and my Squier". Not a lot of inspiration here.

I'm in that situation too. Oddly enough I don't feel all that connected to my guitar just yet.

I really wanted a cool name, but can't seem to find any that fits just right, even though I can't let she go (see, at least I'm referring to her as a she... that's an improvement )

Ok well basically I'm a huge nerd and I've named all of my guitars after my favorite artists.

I've got:
Black Breedlove acoustic that I've named Raphael - after Raphael Sanzio and "Rafa" for short
An Olympic White Strat named after Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn - "Remy" for short

And I'm thinking about getting an alpine white Les Paul next week, and I'm thinking Carri for that one after Caravaggio or Mikey after Michelangelo. But it depends, I have to see what it's personality is like first.

Like I said, total nerd. :P

My Strat is ash with an aged cherry burst finish.

My wife is in my cell phone directory under "Honey Pie", so in a moment of inspiration that was certain to put me in the dog house I named my Strat "Cherry Pie".
