Hi everyone!

I have a Fender Stratocaster with serial number 7673121 on a headstock.
The problem is that my guitar have a small head and a big FENDER STRATOCASTER logo, like dan smith strat, but serial number doesn't match for a dan smith strat. The color is sunburst and neck is maple.
Is it a original or fake?

Please help me!

Cheers!

Yes I'm sure. I try to find on the Internet, but I never see headstock like this with serial number with only 7 digits without letter. It is start with 76 - that should be 1976 years, but in that years I think only was a big headstock.
I'm so confused with that serial on a small headstock.

76+5 digits is definitely 76 but there's overlapping in the CBS era. You could take the neck off and check the butt for a date.

Here is a picture of that guitar. I don't have it at home so I can't put here more picture. This guitar should arrive to me for 2 days.
Because of that I'm curious is it a original.
On this picture you can't see serial number but it is 7673121.

Ok, it seems to me that the headstock does not have the correct shape, even besides the fact that it isnt a large headstock. The hole of the truss rod adjustment on the body is way big. Can anyone see anything else?

Doesn't the truss rod have a plug on the headstock end or supposed to? :?:

According to his serial number he should have a bullet rod on the headstock.

Well I was thinking that guitar is a dan smith stratocaster, but when I saw
serial number it didn't match with dan smith strat which were made I think in early eighties.

Yes, things just don't look right about this "strat," sorry. Please, show us some more pics: neck plate, back of headstock, under pickguard, etc.

I think the picture came from a classified ad and that is the only picture the seller has posted. Sunburst5 did you already buy it?
