I voted Surf Green because that's the color I bought but it would have been a tough choice if there had been a Daphne Blue in stock. :D

I also like the sunburst color, but given the options I would get red. 8)

I voted black. The Black with either maple or rosewood would look cool. I prefer 3 tone sunburst. Looks cool with a Rosewood fingerboard. I might be kinda partial to that because that is what I have. Let us know what you decided to get.

'Course, it depends whether you're looking at the Classic '50s, Classic Player '50s or American Vintage '50s, not to mention some Artist models; because there's different types of blue, red and green available in each.

I'd be torn between Fiesta Red, Daphne Blue or Surf Green on a '50s guitar.

That's most of your list, isn't it?

Cheers - C

I have two Classic 50s RI (MIM) Stratocasters: A Fiesta Red and a Sunburst. I've replaced the pickups in the Fiesta Red with some built by Slider of Australia. I use 10-46 Everly B52 strings. Both guitars have the oft-mentioned 'chime' that is more prominent and clearly noticeable to a novice ear when playing a bar maj B chord.

If I was going to pick one up, I would choose Surf Green.

Gotta vote for Daphne Blue. It has a unique look that I find appealing.
