Hello Everyone,
I recently was on eBay looking at some Stratocaster Parts, and noticed that there are TONS of people selling Genuine Fender Parts, (i.e., BODIES, NECKS, etc., listing them as "NEW", my question is, does ANYONE out there know how these so called Fender Dealers, get their Items from, ?, such as BODIES, NECKS, etc. ?. Please let me know as I am very curious. Thanks in advance for ANY Information you can give me. Hope to hear from you soon, and "ROCK ON FENDER PEOPLE". :D

They are probably bonafide Fender Dealers who get all these new guitars directly from Fender and take them apart to sell them.

Actually, you have to give them credit: The total of what they sell each and every part of any one given guitar for, yields them a lot more than if they sold said guitar as a whole. And let's face it, there's a huge demand for readily available, real Fender parts where the buyer actually has some say in the price they pay. Further, they don't need a showroom (although I'm sure they technically have one to retain the dealership). Consequently, their overhead is negligible. And then there's the whole shipping out of state deal which negates them having to pay taxes on items shipped out of state. This list can go on and on.

Has anyone ever dealt with the parts dealer on ebay "Strat-osphere"? I see his stuff all the time, and wonder if it is genuine Fender, and if they are reputable. Thanks y'all.

I never have personally but their feedback pretty much speaks for itself.

I was wondering that myself. His shop is supposedly a couple towns over from me, a 2o mile or so drive, but I cant find it anywhere except for his online store. Which leads me to believe that its run out of a basement. But he does have allot of parts, mostly Highway 1, but I also see loaded bodies for like $500 for American Deluxes. So if you can find a neck you want to put on it, you'll get the guitar for short money, the only thing the body wont come with is the neck. I'm thinking of picking up one of the Highway 1 bodies. I can get it for around $250, I like the idea of just having the nitro finish, and will transfer everything off my existing one.

I have bought many Parts from Stratosphere, (Matt), and his prices and products, are always Genuine Fender, and fairly priced, and his Shipping is Super Fast !, and Listed Honestly and Accurately. If your looking for Genuine Fender Parts, of any kind, he usually has them and is a Great Person to Deal with, you won't be disappointed. Watch out for "SNIPE BIDDING" if your gonna bid on eBay Items though, someone will ALWAYS try to WIN the Item in the LAST 10 Seconds, usually outbidding you by $1.00, that's why I think "BUY IT NOW" works for me, if reasonalbly priced, rather than be "SNOOKERED" out of it at the last seconds by a "SNIPE BIDDER", just a little friendly advise, from a Seasoned eBay Buyer, and also a SELLER. In closing, let me say 1 more thing about "STRATOSPHERE", look at his FEEDBACK, the dude has over a 150,000 Sales and is a POWER SELLER, his Feedback speaks for itself, and it's also like owning a Harley Davidson, if ya can't afford the Parts, then you should NOT own a Harley, cause that's what H/D stands for, i.e. "HUNDREDS of DOLLARS", LOL. "ROCK ON STRATOCASTER DUDES", and "ALWAYS RIDE SAFE HARLEY DUDES". :D

Snipe bidding?? Hmmm ... I think that's how I got my set of '08 MIA Tele Std pickups for $40. What a sweet deal. Well, regardless of bidding technique ... thanks anyway, Stratosphere!
