Ok I am looking at the Dave Murray Signature Stratocaster.

http://www.fender.com/products//search. ... 0118802806

Looks sweet. Nice specs. I am looking around to see how much this guitar costs and MF, SA, and SW do not have them yet. Does anyone know how much this puppy costs?

I think it's a USA model and with a custom case so I will say about $1500 -$1700. Just a guess though. About the same price as the Eric Johnson model. Anyone else wanna weigh in?

It looks like they put the wrong size bridge pickup on it the pole pieces are way off, but other than that it's cool.

Can anybody think of any other HSH Strat Fender have issued? I guess there must have been one - but I can't remember it.

I bet this model gets some sales just because of the pickup config. And there's nothing about the look to put folks off, even if they're not into Dave Murray himself.

Very cool: be interested to see how this model sells.

Cheers - C

Gonna be beaucoup bucks my friend (most likely around $1700).
I'm just gonna buy an MIM Strat and modify it myself. It's a shame that they have to cost so much (especially since most of the parts are readily availble in the Fender warehouse) but what are you gonna do.

Yeah, would really love to have one. I'd imagine it's gonna be expensive too. That's why I made my own. Same pickups except I put in an Area '58 in the middle. I changed out all the pots to Brass shaft CTS, using 500k for volume. I used CTS no load pots in the tone controls keeping the Greasebucket circuit while using a 500k for the neck and a 250k for the mid. I also put in a 3 way switch. The pickgaurd was custom made by myself. If you look closely to Dave's original guitar the pup's are real close to the edge of the fretboard and the trem. The traditional H-S-H gaurds are to far away. Other than installing a Tusq Nut, vintage Deluxe Klusons and Vintage string trees, that's it so far. I do hope to put a Callaham Tremblock in sometime, but that's down the road. When you look at it altogether the only original parts are the neck, body, trem, and jack plate.
If you haven't seen her before here's a pic.

Yeah they should have considered putting the "F" spaced for the bridge...
