Your welcome gratz, I'm thinking that graduated scalloping with the 7.25" might be very interesting...

Man I would love to have one of these to go along with my Yngwie Malmsteen , as I am in love with scalloped fret boards.. only thing I don’t like is the Rosewood fret board on this. I really like maple better.. I have a guitar with rosewood and I like it, but if I am going to spend the extra $$$ for a signature I want to get the options I want.. that’s what you get with an artist model though…sure is a beauty though, something to think about……

I *think* that these are MIM and might not have a large pricetag?

The Blackmore only comes with a gig bag. I think you are correct on that. This is likely a a pretty affordable sub-1k guitar, right?

Gotta say its an interesting piece. U shaped neck with a 7.25" board should make for a very comfortable playing experience. The only thing i dont like about it is the dummy pickup, i dont see the point of it. I'd rather it wasnt there like the regular signature series guitars. Still its a small thing if the price is right. The gradualy scalloped board looks good too. My ventures beyond the 14th fret are rare, so maybe it will provide just the right amount of dip at the right point. Testing is the only way to tell though.

It might be a copy of the '97 CIJ model and more of a Tribute model than a Signature model?

I dig it. I always like when Strats have the vintage look but absolutely scream- looking at those specs I bet it screams.

That's an interesting looking strat Mike! Cool! I've never even held or tried a scalloped neck but would like to try it out. Is it a easy touch you use on it? Good for lead work but not for chords? I'll have to try one when I get a chance. Probably not for me as I'm a rhythm player mostly. Thanks for posting Mike! 8)

The Blackmore Strat is back! ??

Was there a great demand for this? Were the phones ringing off the hook?

Who can even name the last CD Blackmore put out (without googling)?

It's good to have yet another Strat option, I guess.

We must keep an eye on this page:

Yes it was. I think there are at least 7 such CDs.

His website has some free full-song MP3 downloads ... but I haven't checked that site in a couple years ...

the guitar is a MIM, the 013 model number is the clue

I couldn't find it at any of the big internet retailers

Ah yes! But, that Ritchie could smash one up back in the day... I used to love watching Deep Purple on "Don Kirschner's Rock Concert" back around 1973-74! When he'd play "Highway Star" or ram his strat through the speaker of his specially made Marshall 200 Freakin WATT Stack!!!

I know he wasn't as good at breaking things as Pete or the rest of The Who, but, I was 10 yrs. old and never saw good quality violent destruction (on stage) before...

And Jon Lord and that Hammond B3 rocked too!

P.S.
that model is made in Japan, just like their 2nd best album... "Made In Japan"... (nothing beats Machine Head)
