You're not alone BigJay,

Pete got a few people that way

I see you have TFL5005, I got rid of four of those with the large 2x12's about 10 years ago. pretty cool

Q: My Jagstang is acting really weird lately; like it doesn't tune up now, and sounds really really bad"

A: The problem is insurmountable. Dip the headstock in cocaine, sing something massively depressing; slightly out of tune, and hope for grim death. It's the only fix.

The number of people either taking this thread seriously, or just plain old not reading it, is quite worrying.

On the jazzmaster issue, put a tele bridge on it. Be a guitar from God himself then.

I believe Pete is an excellent Fisherman. He's been pulling in some really big ones with this thread!

Agreed Ninja. What is worrying as well is that some of the well meaning advice I got suggested I SHOULD go ahead with those proposed mods.

BTW, the '58 is real, but the idea of me doing mods to it are dimininishing more and more considering all the advice I've gotten, and I may end up leaving it the way it is. The mods in the end may not be quite so real.

Pete

True, but it's like fishing with dynamite. They just rise to the top and float!

Reminds me of a Beverly Hillbillies episode were Jed Clampett is test drivng a used Navy destroyer. The crew demonstrates the depth charge system for him as a prospective buyer. His comment is " Dogggggie! You coudl catch a powerful mess 'o fish that way, but it hardly seems sportin' somehow!"

Pete ;)
