i got myself a mim strat and it sounds and play better then some american i tried wen i got my mim,i love it its my first strat iv always been a ibanez or jackson player i wanted sometign diff i was playing all kinds of american strat at the shop and then i decided to try some mim strat and some of them sounded as good as the american ones did so i just couldnt justify spending so much money wen the mim sounded as good and even better then some american one and i just paid 569$ canadien for it it wasnt the cheaspest ones but still allot cheaper then the ones mia lol i set up the action the way i like it and voila instant beautifull sonding strat. and it also looks nice, the pickups sound great kind of a vintage feel to them it stays in tune even with a little bit of whamy action, and it sounds big with my priceton reverb amp and great with my plexitube + princeton reverb the frets are nice and big enough the neck,s truss rod was set up perfectly the whole guitar vibrates wen you let it ring thats wen you know you have a great sounding instrument at your finger tips it must vibrate,oh and did i say it sounds great lol yea i did :D

I just got a Surf Green 50's Classic for Christmas and gigged it the other day. Man she sounded so sweet and I got tons of compliments.
Here she is with my Artic White HSS.

Congrast on your new purchace. Nice to see another one coming over to Fender after years of play other brands. I can't say much though, I am guilty play other brands for years before finally getting my first Stratocaster.
