I was looking for guidance from the group. Can an American Deluxe Strat be upgraded to with the Midtone boost circuit? If so, how can it be done. It looks like the main control for the midtone boost is the 25K audio pot. I don't want to replace the S1 switch. I wanted to know if is would work to use this 25K pot as a push pull on the first tone position for added boost in addition to the effects of the S1?

Please help.

Any thoughts? :D

The 50k pot needs to be the volume control. You'd either need a 50k s1 switch made or to wire the 50k pot from the s1's output but hidden under the guard. Not sure exactly how you'd do that or if it would work.
The clapton circuit is quite big. When i put it in my strat i had to move the tbx control to the bottom possition. There just wasnt enough room to get it ontop of where the circuitboard went. So unless your going to route the body the same as the clapton strat, the s1 probably wont fit.

You could do better to install the boost as normal and fit some phase switches and on/off switches to get those s1 sounds. Then you could ditch the 5way switch and make more room for the battery.
