I am not 100% sure - but I would start 2 places.
1. The dealer where you bought it.
2. On this site, under the "support" heading, go to consumer relations and contact Fender consumer relations and ask them...

In that order.

Hello JDC131,

I talked to some friends, a possible
temporary repair would be to pien,
with a center punch
around, but very close to the
threaded hole displacing the metal
to make the hole a wee bit smaller.

You may or may not possess
these metalworking skills.

Remember when tightening or loosening the
screws, string pressere should be slackened.

Seems like a set of saddles cost about
$20 and up from online suppliers.

Hope things work out.

Cheers.

Hi jdc131, welcome to the Forum.

If yours is the 2008 Ugraded American Strat then it will have the bent steel saddles, right? That is a very easy part to get replacements for, though you'll likely have to buy a set of six.

If it is just the screw itself which is damaged you can order a replacement from any authorised Fender dealer. You need to ask for "intonation screws", and for that guitar the part number is 0017031000, judging by the parts list on this page:

http://www.fender.com/support/diagrams/ ... 02CPg3.pdf

I'm afraid it would be hard to argue that a stripped thread was other than user inflicted, so I doubt you'll get this under warranty. But the cost will be pennies.

Cheers - C

I was a machinist for a long time and given the material of the saddle, I wouldn't recommend it. You will make the hole a little tighter, but the threads will probably become deformed. You could try chasing the thread by running a proper sized tap through it, but all in all, I'd just replace it. I doubt stripped threads will be covered by the warranty. You could try your dealer though, maybe they'd replace it on good faith hoping you'll come back for more gear.
