Whether American Standard Series will be upgraded in this year?
Whether we shall see American Standard Stratocaster 2009 or not?
Thanks!
Happy New Year everybody!:-)

NAMM show L.A. in January. Probably see some new colors or recycling of old colors and would be surprised if there wasn't a price increase...

i think fender need to bring back some of there 50's, 60's era colors back to there american standard series. and i would be very very disappointed if the price went up this year. that all a teen needs to hear, that the guitar he's been saving up for over a year, has gone up in price. hehe

COME ON FENDER!!!

Compared to a Gibson Les Paul the American Standard Stratocaster is still a great bargain at $1000 a piece. I hope they keep the prices right where they are at. For the money it's hard to beat 'em.

+1

Fenders are great guitars and it's hard to beat the price.

So far I am pleased with all the guitars shown so far. While I am personally looking forward to the Fender CS Custom Deluxe Strat, it would be nice to see a few new colors for the American Standard. :P

It looks like there will be significant price increases across the music industry, and Fender is among the worst of them. If any of you are on the fence about an American Strat, get one of the remaining 2008s soon.

Peace

Mike

Like said on many other post here on the Forum prices are going up on all the Standards and the Classic series, plus MIM Standard look like they will be 50.00+ more in fact when you look at them at stores now you will see some prices are higher now and they will have two prices one for 08's and one for 09's And now you have the Road Worn MIM for 950. It makes me wonder which series is going to fade away. I have been watching what stock is not being filled at stores and which prices are staying the same or going down trying to get an idea.

Not eighteen months ago you could have bought a brand-new American-made Strat or Tele for $950.

Un-dorked-up, un-ruined, un-reliced.
