I keep my guitar in the case when I'm not playing it. My friend who has been playing forever said it's best to use a wall hanger. Also what wall hangers and stands are best for Nitrocellulose finishes?

Store your guitar in its case. That way its not exposed to dust, sunlight, or anything that might happen along. Hangers are a nice way to show off your guitar, but not a good way to store them. If you're going to store your guitar for a while, also loosen the strings a little to relieve tension on the guitar's neck.

My guitars are all hung up in my livingroom. I use String Swings.

My guitar stays leaned against my amp in the living room. It only sees the case when it leaves.

I have always found for me that if they are all in cases I am less likely to pick them up on a whim. I always leave one out sitting around and usually my Tele is on it's stand next to my amp.

I used to hang my Number 1,..but found that the 5 way switch was getting "scratchy" after about a year,...I keep both my Strats in their case's now.

I like to keep mine hung. I seem to practice a lot more often when they are easy to get to.

I keep mine on a guitar rack that holds guitars, never have had a problem, no matter where I have kept the rack. My acoustics, are in their cases at all times when not being played.
