Hello SoundKrafter,

Welcome to the Forum.

Another forum regular, Chet Feathers,
recommends using a bounce dryer sheet
under the pigkguard. It worked for me.

Cheers.

How do you get static on the Pick Guard? I have never experienced this. Does it make a static noise in the amp when you play ( I hate to show my ignorance here but...) or; does your shirt cling to the pickguard?

Just trying to broaden my guitar data-banks here.

Since you bring this up and its wintertime, your house could be very dry (low humidity) low humidity levels tend to foster static in a number of things, but what could be a greater problem is "drying" out your guitar. Just my 2 cents... and by the way, the dryer sheet trick helps a bunch.

Good Luck

Bill

So you actually remove the pickguard, lay a dryer sheet under it and screw it back down? Because I've been having the same problem.

I am serious. I have never experienced this. Does it make noise in the amp or shock the crap out of you?

I guess no one believes me...I'll never know. I will keep in mind the dryer sheet thing in case I get the crap shocked out of me, hear static on my amp, or some other electrical issues.

Must be from the dry heat in the house. We keep our HVAC set to keep humidity at 38% so the humidifier, dehumidifier turns on in the HVAC as needed.
