Welcome to the forum.

I take it the obvious recommendation of a 93 american neck doesn't suit you? If not, why not? There must be something "else" you want in a neck perhaps?

Do you know what shape you're comfortable with? (D, C, V, etc)?

How about the headstock? Big 70's headstock, or the older and smaller style?

Fingerboard - you like snappy maple or warm rosewood?

Tons of choices, from Fender and a lot of after market companies - all of which could be the perfect choice for you, depending on what you want.

So - tell us what you want - what you really, really want....

Ahh.... of course the obvious. I failed to note that the neck was broken and needs replacing. I have both rosewood and maple fingerboards and really enjoy the rosewood more. My hands move more comfortably up and down the rosewood. I don’t know if it is physiological, but I prefer it. I was more worried that if I can’t find a 93 neck, what could I put on. I have heard horror stories of people trying to buy the right neck for their playing style, and the neck doesn’t fit the guitar. Yikes!! Just trying to avoid it if possible. I have never ventured into this type of purchase, I have always purchased new from a store.

You may have a hard time finding a 1993 Fender neck, so why not go with something else. Warmoth makes really nice necks. You can find a wide variety of shapes and woods. I have an Allparts neck that is very high quality and plays well. Many companies make Fender licensed products, so you can do what you are trying to do, which is replace your neck with a suitable Fender-style one. Mighty Mite is fairly cheap stuff, so leave that as a last resort.
