Hello Jacobr8893,

Necks are affordable and available
all over the web, Warmoth & Mighty mite
are 2 that come to mind the of course
there is always ebay.

The fretboard on your neck can be replaced.
But it would be pretty darn expensive,

I have never heard of anyone
replacing a stratocaster fretboard.

Best of luck.

Cheers

much easier and probably less expensive to just replace the neck.

Mark knopfler had a maple board put onto a 62 strat neck, he used that guitar to record dire strait's first album. Soon as he got some cash a schecter neck went on the guitar. I dont think he was too happy with it or it didnt stand up to his repeated playing, although he's a light player.

What a waste of a 62 neck eh? even if it did have a rosewood board originaly :D

Yeah, they're right, just get a new neck. I'd stay away from Mighty Mite, the ones I've seen last week I didnt think they were that well built, Warmoth are great though. You can look on Ebay for a Fender neck, but the tools who are selling them want twice what they're worth usually.

New neck is better, unless theres some extraordinary reason why you love the back of the neck and headstock so much which it could happen :)
